Josquin Desprez, one the people who helped devlop the styles of High Renaissance.

During the high time of the Renaissance, people began to have different opinions about motets, chansons, and masses. These people developed new styles which focused around imitative counterpoint and homophony. These styles would continue to be used for another century.

Although there was instrumentation in Renaissance music, most sacred music was sung. However, throughout the site only musical substitutes will be used.
